Name: Sugawara Koushi

Appearance: Suga hasn't even grown a full two centimeters since high school. He now stands at an "impressive' height of 176cm. Although he's happy to have grown, he still bemoans his height.
He wears his hair longer than he used to. It hangs down to the bottoms of his ears in a choppy cut. It's mostly laziness that keeps him from taming it into something more acceptable.
Otherwise, he appears much the same as he used to.
Personality/Biography: Suga spent his years after high school back-packing across Europe. He wanted to take some time to figure himself out. Who he was, what he wanted to do with his life. Make some mistakes and figure it all out. He wanted to see the world and experience life.
Living among so many different cultures changed him. He came out of it with a solid idea of who and what was really important to him. He visited a lot of popular tourist cities, but he also stayed in spare rooms of family homes of people who were kind enough to take him in and give him a bed when he got lost and took a back road to a small village or town (which happened way more often than he'd like to admit; he rarely spoke enough of the local language to read the road signs). He saw, quite frankly, a lot of shit. A lot of poor people struggling to make ends meet. A lot of people who couldn't afford health care or food. A lot of people that insisted he take their last loaf of bread with him on his way to town.
He wanted to give back. He wanted to care for others as he'd been cared for.
It was this realization that had him settling down in an Italian university (since he had picked up a good bit of the language in his months of traveling Italy) and studying nursing.
It didn't take long for him to miss Japan, however. He decided to transfer to a university back home that he'd heard good things about. DMDU.
In terms of personality, Suga isn't too much different from how he used to be. He's a little more grounded and a little more focused, but he's still the same upbeat nurturing guy he always was. He has a bit of a mischievous streak that's grown just a
lotlittle bit wider since being abroad.RP Samples: "Haaaaa~ Clinicals were so rough today! They had me running here and there and back and forth. I put an IV in Patient-x-san (can't violate HIPPA, sorry!), and he ripped it out! Can you believe that?! The hose ripped and water was pouring everywhere and this guy was screaming for us to do something about it. We were doing our best!
I gave him a stern warning. 'You can't impede us, sir. We're only trying to help.'
And you know what he did?
He knocked the stand over onto my head. TT~TT
I'm okay!! I put some ice on it, and all is well!!! ^_^ I just have to tell myself 'don't mind, don't mind! You're making a difference!'
But sometimes, on days like this, I wonder about what's going through people's heads ;n;"
