NOTE: From March 2016, your character must be either transferring from another university into the year you would like them to be (limited by age) or starting as a 1st year.

Appearance: Zaizen has grown a few inches since the series, putting him in the bottom-average height for a Japanese guy. He has thick black hair that likes to stand up on its own, so he usually won’t leave the house without organizing the spikes. Don’t mess with the do! He has pale green eyes that glare pretty damn well. Jewelry is a guilty pleasure of his; if he hasn’t changed his earrings or his eyebrow ring, you know something is wrong.
Personality/Biography:Tennis has been a great source of personal growth for Zaizen. When he first joined the team in junior high (ahem, was first coerced into joining the team), Zaizen was a quiet and had too little presence for his own good. He was the only first year to not join a club. Though he didn’t quite fit in with the rest of the team, Shitenhouji quickly adopted him as their straight man. Zaizen still writes more words in his blog every day than he speaks aloud, but he never hesitates to pick on his senpai or speak his mind directly…even if his thoughts get ugly. He secretly likes the (slightly) more outgoing person that tennis help him grow into, so despite his lack of passion for the sport itself, he continued it through high school.
Even though Zaizen is continuing tennis in university, studying is his priority. He wants to work in developing musical technology and equipment for recording and performance. You’ll find him (grumpily) working nights at the local karaoke place to put some hours in with the machines. He’ll check you in and help you if the screen freezes…even if it’s on Spice Girls.
RP Samples:
It was three am and Zaizen was slacking off. Not that any of the supervisors were around to scold him. Most of them left around one, when all of the karaoke customers made their decision to stay the night, go home, or move on. As long as people kept the doors shut to protect Zaizen from their music and refrained from breaking the equipment, he didn’t care.
He swiveled back and forth in the chair, closed his eyes, and let the Arctic Monkeys keep him from staring at the clock. If he could stay just like this, being awake at this monstrous time was a secret blessing.
A hand touched his shoulder. So much for blessing. He immediately pushed his headphones down and eyed the college age girl staring at him.
“Excuse me…” she sounded apologetic. She should be; the sound of AKB48 poured from her open door. “The music video froze…could you…”
Nope. Can’t. Come back later.
“Go back to the room, I’ll be right there,” he dutifully put up a sign and tucked his phone into his pocket. There was work to be done after all.
